Motorcyclist dies in early morning collision
Both lanes of Seward Highway were closed between 36th Avenue and Benson Boulevard for several hours

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A motorcycle rider died early Wednesday morning after being hit by a car. The crash closed both lanes of the Seward Highway from 36th Avenue to Benson Boulevard for several hours. The road eventually reopened, according to a Nixle community alert at 8:15 a.m.
Dustin L. Fulton, 40, died from his injuries sustained in the crash. According to the alert, Fulton was riding in the wrong direction, going north in the southbound lanes, when he collided with a sedan driving south.
Anchorage police responded to the incident at 3:17 a.m. at the intersection of 36th and the Old Seward Highway. The Anchorage Fire Department was also on scene.
