ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Two people are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after an SUV rolled over on the Glenn Highway Monday morning.

Five people were in the SUV at the time of the rollover, according to an updated community alert from the Anchorage Police Department. All were taken to the hospital with injuries.

The driver, a woman, and the front seat passenger, a man, remain in the hospital with injuries police said are life-threatening. Police said the three other passengers were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The rollover caused a shutdown of the inbound lanes of the highway, temporarily blocking access to Anchorage. All lanes were reopened by early Monday evening.

Anchorage police are looking for information from anyone who may have witnessed the rollover. Those with information are asked to call Investigator Dykstra at 907-786-8748.

The cause of the rollover is under investigation, police said.
